Tyler the Creator's much anticipated album has leaked a few days early, and if rumours of it being an official leak are true, then it seems to be a savvy move by Tyler. Twitter, Facebook, blogs and the media have stirred up a shit-storm of hype this week and on first listen the album deserves it.

It's a lot less personal than previous album ‘Bastard’, but it certainly hasn't lost the caustic tone. Examples of this can be seen in tracks ‘Radicals’ and ‘Bitch Suck Dick’, the first containing the hook “Kill people, burn shit, fuck school” the latter needing no such description.

There is however another side to Goblin, a side free of violence and misogyny - these tracks feature a more pensive Tyler. The most notable exponent of this is ‘Window’. Far more refined than in the album’s other tracks, Tyler’s rhymes are contemplative, reminiscent of those in ‘Inglorious’.

One of my favourite tracks on the album is 'She'. Featuring the crooning Frank Ocean, the track deals with Tyler’s love for a girl. ‘She’ is reportedly the second single off the album, and is uncharacteristically tame for Tyler, who somehow manages to rap about a girl without referring to rape or murder. Impressive:

Seeing as one half of Two Gold Bricks is sunning it up in Spain this week (lucky fuck), we thought it’d be a good idea to do a joint post with Joe Morris (Let Yourself Go) in his absence. It’s a bit like your standard music post, BUT LOADS BETTER.

When I was in San Fran all i listened to was Kastle’s March Promo mix, recently I’ve felt I’ve needed some more of Kastle’s delight, and I’ve been graced with Kastle’s Essential Mix. Been listening to this a lot recently, this mix is perfect for a 10 mile cycle home drunk; it has chilled out tracks and beats that make you want to go super fast.

Shlohmo’s latest EP landed in my iTunes late last month, and I pretty much ignored it for a while, not really giving it a listen. Stumbled back across it the other day on shuffle, and it’s so so so good. Some of the tracks, namely the Teeth remix, are a bit much; but the rest of the album is fucking dope. Naps is by far my favourite, with it’s slow groove, interrupted by a dark beat towards the end of the track. Brilliant.

Down to our last exams now and the summer holiday seems only just around the corner. Sweat it out! is the Australian label who seem to have dominated all Oz's talent with releases from some of the heaviest names including Edu K, Act Yo Age, Oh Snap!, Yolanda Be Cool and DCUP. Their latest release is 'VOIVODINE (HA HA HO HEY)' by VHYCE. Say no more, its a tech house family feast with tropical twinges and had us screaming summer vibes. Two tracks; 'Voivodine (Ha Ha Ho Hey)' & 'Basement Horns' with remixes from Yolanda Be Cool, Femme En Fourrure and Rainbows of Death. Romanian chopped vocals, chime synths and even some Major Lazer style snare samples; what's not to enjoy? Femme En Fourrure's version is a minimalistic track which uses the same vocals but over a much deeper groove.

Always appreciate those times where you end up sitting on your backside doing sweet fuck'all; skipping through music channels to find something worth listening to. Avoiding Cliff Richard and Dolly Parton on Magic I came across Born Ruffians latest video of 'What to say', not just an amazing track, but also epic video directed by Jared Raab. Born Ruffians released their fourth album 'Say It' on Warp Records on 31st of May last month. A real fresh sound from a band I'd totally forgotten about since their past classic 'Hummingbird'.

Couldn't argue that Warp haven't released some unheard of talent and The Hundred in the Hands are a prime psychedelic example with their ep 'This Desert' including their latest release of 'Tom Tom'. With her angelic' sounding voice over some intense acidic toms there is more than enough to pull you into a state of tranquility.

Not had a lot of time on our hands recently due to exams and work, and we've noticed there's been a distinct lack of music posted of late; so to make up for a few barren weeks, here are a few tracks that we like at the moment...

First up is a club classic remixed by tribal pioneer Mowgli. The original 'It Just Won't Do' was big back in 2002, and we all remember the video; Mowgli just made it that bit better.

Been meaning to post something about xxxy for a while now, but haven't got round it. xxxy released a split EP (along with Ike Release) earlier this month on his label Infrasonics. Contrasting Ike Release's austere and serious sound, xxxy moves in a slightly different, more playful direction with 'Know You', whilst maintaining a similar enough sound to cohere with the rest of the tracks on the EP. Sort of beat you just can't help but nod to.

Understandably one of the most inspirational bands of all time, The Rolling Stones have brought forth their modern re-mastered version of 'Exile on Main St.' (originally introduced in 1972). The album, a result of four solid years of production, has revolutionised and inspired many artists of our current generation, including: Kings of Leon, The Strokes and The Libertines. Jagger and Richards were said to be in fully flared experimental rhythm whilst in the production of the album following their renown known album 'Sticky Fingers'. Also for those who aren't so keen, we've got a Stones' remix from the likes of Hot Chip.

Days of musical fusion, tax evading, and drug abuse spent in Keith's smack den created hits such as 'Rocks off', 'All Down The Line' and 'Tumbling Dice'. Definitely an album worthy of anybody's record collection, and we strongly encourage you to buy and embrace.

With Bloc party currently on hiatus, Kele has been working hard for the past year recording his new album Boxer with electro-veteran Hudson Mohawke. Whilst taking time off from the Bloc Party, Kele began to experiment with different sounds, "I plugged in synths with no idea what they would do. It was completely back to the drawing board, it was exciting and terrifying", he explains in a press-release. "The key for the sound of the record was to take things as harsh and as physical as I could make them. These are the sounds that make me the happiest in the world." His first release of the album, Tenderoni, certainly follows his intentions, with it's dark synth and raw lyrics, conveyed in typical Kele style. If this is anything to go by, Boxer is a must buy, and you can cop it on the 21st of this month.

Without further ado, may we introduce you to the Headshotboyz! The two Hungarian fellas wreaking havoc in the industry, slamming out outrageously good house music. Here at TGB we a little natter with the boyz about what is in store for this summer as well as how they got so damn good. Exclusives also to be heard...

Lets start with some background info. Where are you guys from?

We're from Budapest, Hungary.

Every producer has different influences and musical backgrounds, but where does your passion for music originate from?

Back in 2003, when we started making tunes, it was all drum and bass music for us. Then we slowed down to breakbeat, electro house, fidget and finaly the tech-mini-jackin-house we produce nowadays. (And actually we are slowing at the moment, too)

In five years time where do you see yourselves?

Huh! Five years.. We are hopefully over an album, maybe two. Have plenty of Ep's out, travel the world, maybe start a lable, not sure yet?

We heard 'NIA' being played in Riva Starr's Kiss 100 mix, what did you make of that!?

Its pretty simple, we've finished the track, thought Riva would like it, gave it to him, he liked it. And we are happy now. :D

What can we expect from you over the summer? Are you playing any music festivals or dates within the United Kingdom?

We are planning to play in the UK soon, not this summer unfortunatly bit if we got out it won't be just one gig ;)...This summer is all about releases and hungarian festivals/parties for us.

In a week of David Cameron and Nick Clegg jousting, people getting eaten alive by their nuclear sofa's and vexed teachers bax'in students in their biology lessons; we thought we'd hit you up with some fresh new tunes to get you through the week ahead.

The XX have seemed to have settled in miraculously well this year, everyone seems to have jumped on board the whole minimal indie obsession. 'Crystalised' is by far one of their strongest tracks on the album, even the BBC have clocked on and have used it as their new ident's backing track. Rico Tubbs has been a heavy contender within the Fidget scene from day one, but this comes as no surprise though, as he's constantly throwing out new material every other week keeping all keen Fidget lovers appeased. His latest release 'Dare' uses the old 'Make Your Move' sample from the classic Dave Armstrong hit back from a good few years back. Here Rico stamps his mark on a anthem to make it something to destroy any dance floor.

Another indie remix up next, a delightful remix of Marina & The Diamond's 'I am not a robot' by Starsmith. Easy listenable and future sounding, Starsmith has rubbed of his electro influence on Marina's obscure original A tune that will definitely go down well on a huge skate or summer BBQ. Be sure to check out some of Starsmiths other remixes on his Myspace.

The Boogaloo Crew seem to spring up seasonally with some sort of fresh dubstep vibe for us all to play with. This time they've put something beautiful together with José González's 'Crosses'. A risky combination in all fairness, but the crew haven't failed to turn what was already a beautiful, into something with a new edge to beauty.

New from Broadinski, the French fiend released his remix of Tiga's latest and last release 'Overtime' from the album 'Ciao!' on Tiga's Turbo Records this week. There's something naughty about this remix, something which we really can't put our finger on. But it's definitely summoned from that killer drum that surely will manipulate any dance floor into getting busy. Not to mention that the original isn't a work of synth art. You should get your teeth into these because they're heavy.

This photo has very little to do with the post, but we're sure nobody's complaining?

A bit of an old release today, but in all honesty this EP is far from dated. Begin, released last summer by Apathesis is an almost flawless record. Released on the label Urban Scrumping, it's stand out track is undoubtedly 'Wake Up', which features an eerie sample from the 2001 film Donnie Darko. It's infectious wobble, low-range synths and the gentle croon of the voice sample; combine perfectly to produce an enchanting chill-out track.

Ramadanman EP

Ramadanman's highly-anticipated eponymous EP was released earlier this week on Hessle Audio.

Ram's intention for this EP is fairly clear: to showcase his broad yet diverse abilities through a small spectrum od genres and styles. The influence of label-mate Untold is prominent throughout the record, with craftily concatenated experimental tracks in the form of No Swing, Tumble and Bleeper. He slips back into his natural flow and style with the track Don't Change For Me with it's gently crooning sample, laid between malleable subs and cheeky blocks of percussion. Our favourite track on the EP, I Beg You, heralds a rather more spectral sample, coupled with a style very similar to Deadboy, another artist who's making waves through the industry at the moment. No free download this time, as it's worth buying the record, which can be done here.

Outkast's other half Big Boi has been creating havoc in the studio in the midst of making of his new album 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty' under Def Jam, which is set to be launched this May.

We've already heard 'Fo Yo Sorrows' which features 1980's funk legend George Clinton, which immediately sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop industry, instantly rendering itself a classic, and what many considered the main track on the new album come May.

However his latest release 'Shutterbug' seems to completely flout such a belief. Throwing out 80's style phycadellic synths, bleeps and talkbox vocals underneath Big Boi's criminal flow, this track plays with origniality and revives that old Outkast feel which we all love.

Bit of a mixed bag of music today, seeing as yesterday's selection seemed heavily orientated around house/techno/dubstep etc. Today's selection draws from more of an eclectic mix of genres, some new, some slightly older.

First up is a song that's been around since last summer, however I think it's worth posting it again as the song seemed to slip under the radar as far as blogs are concerned. 'Big Dipper' is undoubtedly the stand-out track from Delorean's EP entitled 'Ayrton Senna'. The track itself alludes perfectly to the idea of summer euphoria, with it's light and playful melody, and it's equally light hearted lyrics. Delorean's style is not too dissimilar to that of French outfit Phoenix, however I recommend giving the 'Ayrton Senna' EP a listen, as the other tracks illustrate just how diverse Delorean's style is.

Next up is a big favourite of ours. 'Definition', off Black Star's (Talib Kweli & Mos Def) eponymously named album, 'Black Star', is in my opinion one of the best hip-hop songs of the 90's; however the song is often overlooked as it was released towards the end of the golden era, an era dominated by Biggie and Tupac. Their intelligent wordplay, insightful lyrics and infectious beat really make this song a must-listen.

We'll finish off with a more recent release from Vampire Weekend. 'Diplomat's Son', off the band's critically acclaimed second album 'Contra', is for me one of the best songs on the album. Granted, it might not have the radio presence of 'Giving Up The Gun' or 'Cousins', but it's quirky reggae-esque beat gives it a fresher sound than it's accompanying songs. We really recommend that you buy the whole album, as it is well worth the money, and as a result we're not going to offer a free download on this one. We're well and truly sorry, honestly. Instead here's a video, and small consolation in the form of a bonus track, from Dortmund based producer, Nicolas Eller.

We thought we'd start Two Gold Bricks off with a handful of songs which are staples in our iTunes playlist at the moment. Granted, this isn't the most imaginative of inaugural posts, however it's certainly not indicative of a monotonous glut of music posts in the future. We would also like to point out now that if you are seeking wobble-drenched dubstep, hackneyed electro-pop, or JLS; you will be somewhat disappointed by the contents of this blog.

The first of the two songs we wish to share is entitled 'NoSummr4u' by oOoOO. Yes, that's right, oOoOO. The song itself is a dark rendition of 80's club hit 'Summertime Summertime' by Nocera, combining a eerie bassline with an almost angelic sample of the original song. This juxtaposition of sound works well together, giving a sound not too dissimilar to Jade, another artist that we highly recommend you listen to.

Next up is a track remixed by New York based artist Kingdom. Kingdom seems to have changed tact with his latest production, coming from a deeper angle, with elements of minimal techno fused with the effervescent dubstep associated with the likes of Mount Kimbie, finished off with a deep, rasping bassline.

To finish, Booka Shade have kindly released the track 'Regenerate' straight from their soon to be released album on free download. The German pioneers of electronic music have undeniably created something beautiful here, taking you through a story of house music into a euphoric consciousness. Be sure to keep an eye out for the launch of the new album set to be launched on the 3rd of May on Get Physical, no doubt it will revolutionise the electronic genre.
